Institution
The institution was established as a Police Training School in the year 1968.It was raised to the level of Police Training College in the year 1998 by the LieutenantGovernor, Delhi. The Police Training College is spread in more than 220 acres ofland at Jharoda Kalan, a village in the South West District of Delhi. The Police Trainingcollege is one of the premier institutions of India which imparts training to IndianPolice Service Officers of Union Territory cadre, Assistant Commissioners of Policebelonging to Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Cadre, Sub-Inspectors, AssistantSub-Inspectors and other ranks from Delhi Police, officers of the Central Bureau ofinvestigation, Customs and Central Excise, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Arunachal PradeshPolice, Sikkim Police and trainees from foreign Countries like Maldives, Bhutan etc. ThePTC organises the following courses : Basic Courses, Promotion Courses, and Special Courses.Information regarding different types of courses are available on this Website.Thetraining methdology is regularly reviewed to enable training meet the risingchallenges. The focus remains on excellence in professional and character building skills.To meet these, several new methodologies, technology and programs have been provided for.
