About Academy
Police Training School, Marol, Mumbai was established in 1975. Initially it was under the control of Police Commissioner of Mumbai. In 1998 this School was handed over to Special Inspector General of Police, Training & Spl. Units, Maharashtra State, Mumbai. This is the biggest training institute of Maharastra State Police with the capacity of 1000 recruits (Now enhanced to 1200 recruits).
Area
The School is spared in 36 Acres of land Mithi River flows through the school land.
Location
The School is located in western suburb of Mumbai surrounded by greenery, between adjacent to Andheri Railway station ( W.R.) 5 K.M. and Kanjurmarg Railway station ( C.R. ) 6 K.M.
Amenities
Uninterrupted 24 hours water supply and electricity supply by B.M.C. and Reliance respectively. Water coolers fitted with purifiers. Medical facilities are also available with small Dispensary and medical officer and nursing Staff, Administrative office is equipped with Telephone with fax machine, Photo copier, Reso-graph machine, Television sets, Computer systems with internet connection, printer etc.
This year calendar is not finalized but will be displayed as soon as it is finalised. Till today 32 batches of recruit trained were passed. Delegation by China & Bangladesh countries visited to this institution.
School children from nearby primarily and secondary schools often visit to the Police Training School, Marol, Mumbai.
